Data we handle

Uploaded bills. Medical bills you submit are processed in real time and are not retained on our servers. We do not keep a copy of the bill or its contents after your analysis completes; the analysis happens transiently, and the resulting report lives in your browser. We do not maintain a server-side archive of uploaded bills or the protected health information they may contain.

Account and usage data. If you create an account or use gated features, we store your email address to identify your account and to apply usage limits. We may keep anonymized, aggregate counters (for example, the number of analyses run) to operate and improve the service. These counters are not tied to the contents of any bill.

How AI processing works

BillXM's analysis is performed using the Anthropic API (Claude models). When you run an analysis, the relevant content is transmitted to Anthropic for processing and the result is returned to your browser. This processing is transient and is not used by BillXM to build a server-side record of your bill.

Third-party services

We rely on a small set of reputable service providers to operate BillXM:

• Anthropic — AI analysis via the Anthropic API (Claude models).
• Stripe — payment processing, where applicable. BillXM does not store your full card details.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Upstash — usage counters and rate limiting.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the account data associated with your email address. Because uploaded bills are not retained on our servers, there is no stored bill data for us to return or delete. To make a request, contact us at info@billxm.com.

Children's privacy

BillXM is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us so we can address it.
